Holy cow it's the time of year again already. Opening Day is TODAY!, well sort of. Supposedly there was two games in Japan last week and Ichiro retired? No idea, it was March Madness and middle of the night.
Well last year's predictions were pretty horrendous. Only three division winners and the playoffs were a disaster.
Let's see how this year goes...
AL East:
1. New York Yankees (103-59)
2. Boston Red Sox (96-66)
3. Tampa Bay Rays (85-77)
4. Toronto Blue Jays (70-92)
5. Baltimore Orioles (61-101)
The Bronx Bombers are back. Can they break the single season HR record? Let's hope not. - I'll leave the same comment in. This is the year for the Yanks.
AL Central:
1. Cleveland Indians (89-73)
2. Minnesota Twins (84-78)
3. Detroit Tigers (72-90)
4. Kansas City Royals (72-90)
5. Chicago White Sox (60-100)
Indians with the best rotation in baseball. Can they win the division averaging under three runs per game? I guess we'll find out because that lineup is woof.
AL West:
1. Houston Astros (99-63)
2. Seattle Mariners (83-79)
3. Los Angeles Angels (81-81)
4. Oakland Athletics (76-86)
5. Texas Rangers (68-94)
Astros still own the division. Will Mike Trout ever win a playoff game in LA?
NL East:
1. Atlanta Braves (93-69)
2. Philadelphia Phillies (91-71)
3. Miami Marlins (80-82)
4. Washington Nationals (78-84)
5. New York Mets (70-92)
Young Braves roll again. Look for a big tumble from the Nats.
NL Central:
1. Milwaukee Brewers (98-64)
2. St. Louis Cardinals (88-74)
3. Chicago Cubs (87-75)
4. Pittsburgh Pirates (79-83)
5. Cincinnati Reds (69-93)
It's the year of Milwaukee! The Bucks will upset the Warriors and the Brewers will play late in to October.
NL West:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (97-65)
2. Arizona Diamondbacks (82-80)
4. Colorado Rockies (81-81)
5. San Diego Padres (72-90)
3. San Francisco Giants (66-96)
Dodgers cruise to another division title, should be wrapped up by early September.
