2022 MLB Predictions Sure to be Wrong

The 2022 Baseball season starts tomorrow!! After the lockout this winter, we weren't sure if it was going to happen, but it looks like we're in store for a full 162 game season.  Last year I hit 7/10 playoff teams and wiffed on pretty much everything else.  I was ready to bury the Cleveland baseball team but Dolan opened up the checkbook today (well in two years really) and paid Jose to the tune of $120 mil. I'm back on the wagon.  On to the predictions:

AL East:
1. Tampa Bay Rays (96-66)
2. Toronto Blue Jays (93-69)
3. Boston Red Sox (93-69)
4. New York Yankees (79-83)
5. Baltimore Orioles (52-112)

The Yankees did nothing to get better.  Everyone is picking the Blue Jays to win the division.  I'll believe it when I see it, Rays win the division again.

AL Central:
1. Chicago White Sox (97-65)
2. Minnesota Twins (86-76)
3. Cleveland baseball team (81-81)
4. Kansas City Royals (73-89)
5. Detroit Tigers (64-98)

Can I still call them the Tribe?  After the White Sox, this is going to be a bad division this season.

AL West:
1. Houston Astros (95-67)
2. Oakland Athletics (90-72)
3. Los Angeles Angels (81-81)
4. Seattle Mariners (69-93)
5. Texas Rangers (64-98)

Cheating Astros win the division again.

NL East:
1. Atlanta Braves (94-68)
2. New York Mets (90-72)
3. Philadelphia Phillies (88-74)
4. Washington Nationals (74-88)
5. Miami Marlins (65-97)

Braves roll.

NL Central:
1. Milwaukee Brewers (90-72)
2. St. Louis Cardinals (84-78)
3. Cincinnati Reds (83-79)
4. Chicago Cubs (71-91)
5. Pittsburgh Pirates (60-102)

I don't really care about this division.  Who ever wins it will be swept in the playoffs.  That's the same thing I wrote last year...

NL West:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (101-61)
2. San Diego Padres (92-70)
3. San Francisco Giants (85-77)
4. Arizona Diamondbacks (73-89)
5. Colorado Rockies (67-95)

Dodgers were vulnerable last year.  They won't be this year.  It'll be a romp in the west.

AL Wildcard:
Houston Astros 2 Oakland A's 0
Toronto Blue Jays 2 Boston Red Sox 1

AL Divisional Series:
Chicago White Sox 3 Toronto Blue Jays 1
Tampa Bay Rays 3 Houston Astros 2

AL Championship Series:
Tampa Bay Rays 4 Chicago White Sox 2

NL Wildcard:
Philadelphia Phillies 2 Milwaukee Brewers 1
San Diego Padres 2 NY Mets 0

NL Divisional Series:
LA Dodgers 3 San Diego Padres 1
Atlanta Braves 3 Philadelphia Phillies 2

NL Championship Series:
Los Angeles Dodgers 4 Atlanta Braves 3

World Series:
LA Dodgers 4 Tampa Bay Rays 2

AL Cy Young: Shane Bieber (healthy and ready to go)
AL MVP: Mike Trout (will always pick the best)

NL Cy Young: Corbin Burnes
NL MVP: Bryce Harper

Good luck and Go Cleveland baseball team
