The 2024 Baseball season starts tomorrow, well sort of, as there were two games in Korea last week. We may have Pete Rose 2.0 in LA? Will the ball be juiced this year? Or is the year of the pitcher? Horrible last year as always. I did get Ohtani as AL MVP and three division winners, but struck on out the LCS series. I only missed Baltimore's win total by 50 games and had the D'backs and Rangers as 4th and 5th in their divisions, though I'm sure I'm not the only one that whiffed on them.
I've successfully managed to watch or follow O seconds of Spring Training. I did see Trevor Bauer throwing on a pitch machine. Did he sign somewhere? With out further ado, see below for this year's predictions.
AL East:1. Baltimore Orioles (98-64)
5. Toronto Blue Jays (71-91)
O's continue off last years momentum. Can they have postseason success this season? The Yankees are hit hard by the injury bug before the season even gets off the ground and they struggle to reach .500
AL Central:
1. Cleveland Guardians (93-69)
4. Kansas City Royals (66-96)
1. Houston Astros (101-61)
4. Los Angeles Angels (68-94)
Astros should win the division again, but the Rangers should be able to build off of last years World Series!! The A's will be very bad, but if no one is there to watch, did it really happen? Sort of like this blog.
NL East:
1. Atlanta Braves (99-63)
Braves should roll again with the Phillies on their tail. All those $$ and the METS should be bad bad bad.
NL Central:
1. Chicago Cubs (85-77)
4. Cincinnati Reds (74-88)
5. Pittsburgh Pirates (65-97)
Just a bunch of garbage. 85 wins should take the division.
NL West:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (106-56)
5. Colorado Rockies (63-99)
The Dodgers just keep re-loading. It's a slog to October where another failure looms.
AL Wildcard:
AL Divisional Series:
Texas Rangers 4 Cleveland Guardians 2
NL Wildcard:
Philadelphia Phillies 2 San Diego Padres 1
NL Divisional Series:
Los Angeles Dodgers 3 Philadelphia Phillies 2
Atlanta Braves 3 Chicago Cubs 0
NL Championship Series:
Atlanta Braves 4 LA Dodgers 3
World Series:
Atlanta Braves 4 Texas Rangers 3
AL Cy Young: Shane Bieber
AL MVP: Corey Seager
NL Cy Young: Corbin Burnes
NL MVP: Ronald Acuna Jr.
