2018 MLB Predictions Sure to be Wrong

Holy cow it's the time of year again already.  Opening Day is tomorrow, except for those pussy Reds who can't play in the rain...

Well last year's predictions were pretty meh.  I hit all six division winners and the AL wild card.  That's where the success ended.  I only hit one LCS team and whiffed on the World Series as well as all the superlatives.

Let's see how this year goes...

AL East:
1. New York Yankees (98-64)
2. Boston Red Sox (90-72)
3. Tampa Bay Rays (81-81)
4. Toronto Blue Jays (78-84)
5. Baltimore Orioles (65-97)

The Bronx Bombers are back.  Can they break the single season HR record?  Let's hope not.   

AL Central:
1. Cleveland Indians (99-63)
2. Minnesota Twins (88-74)
3. Kansas City Royals (79-83)
4. Chicago White Sox (67-95)
5. Detroit Tigers (60-102)

Can the Indians stay healthy and win one for Chief Wahoo in his final season?

AL West:
1. Houston Astros (101-61)
2. Los Angeles Angels (83-79)
3. Seattle Mariners (80-82)
4. Texas Rangers (77-85)
5. Oakland Athletics (68-94)

World Series champions should be able withstand an early season hangover and cruise in the west.

NL East:

4. Atlanta Braves (71-91)
5. Miami Marlins (59-103)

The surging Phillies are the surprise playoff team of the season.  What kind of year will Bryce Harper has as free agency looms ahead?

4. Pittsburgh Pirates (78-84)

The Brew Crew will be right on the Cubs heals all season long and have to settle for the WC.
